ARTS is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for young adults with special needs and their families. We believe in the value of individuals with disabilities as subjects of duties and rights, and we aim to promote the global interest of people with disabilities. Our team is committed to providing support, resources, and services to empower individuals and their families to achieve their full potential.
MISSION: Offer support to young adults with special needs or with some disability condition, as well as the parents, relatives, or caregivers of these people, to improve their quality of life. Promote the development of skills and interests through recreation in a participatory manner. Contribute to socio-emotional development and social inclusion, creating awareness from home to the community or its environment. Defend their rights and ensure their safety and protection.
VISION: To be a reference group in the field of special needs or disability, always acting with integrity, professionalism, efficiency, and transparency, providing support and quality services, and causing an impact for the well-being and development of the community. Work for equal opportunities and conditions for people with disabilities.
SOCIAL JUSTICE: Defense of rights, equality, common good.
GROWTH: Trust and believe in what is done and who does it. Promote comprehensive development to achieve the independence of people with disabilities.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

Dr. Rosa Dominguez-Mena, Ed.D, MS.Ed.
President & CEO
Dr. Dominguez, had three children with her late husband Dr. Pedro Mena. She became a Special Education professional, motivated by her second son Edwin, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Angelman Syndrome, non-verbal. Edwin found his voice through the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), educational programs through technology.

Currently, Dr. Dominguez-Mena works in an elementary school in Broward County, state of Florida, USA, as a Preschool Teacher in an intensive class of children with special needs from three (3) to five (5) years old, whom she respects and appreciates, always ensuring that their individual and educational needs are met. She likes to create positive and harmonious relationships with her coworkers and colleagues, which has led her to success in her professional and personal growth.​

Rosa has been recognized as “Woman of the Year 2009” by the city of Weston, Florida. She is an active member of Golden Key International Honor Society. Her family, “La Familia Mena” was recognized by the community organization America’s Community Center and by Broward County, Florida, as “Family of the Year 2014” for their contributions to the Hispanic community. She is also a member of the Non-Profit Educational Organization Sunshine International Institute. She is a constant guest on local radio and television programs in the city of Miami.
